Migrated legacy syslog and traps

Users who upgrade to NPM from an Orion Platform product can now migrate their legacy syslog and traps to the newer SolarWinds Platform syslog and traps as part of the upgrade process.

SQL widgets migrated to SWQL

The following widgets were migrated to SWQL and do not support SQL anymore:

Other improvements

  • The data source for displaying response time for Meraki orchestrator nodes changed. In 2022.3 and later, response time displays the response time for an HTTP GET response from Meraki API. In previous versions, response time displayed ICMP response time. After the upgrade to 2022.3 or later, response times for Meraki nodes might thus seem to be longer.

Installation and upgrade

For information about installing Network Performance Monitor, see help for the SolarWinds Installer.

Use the SolarWinds Installer to upgrade your entire SolarWinds Platform deployment (all Orion Platform products and any scalability engines).

If you are on a version earlier than NPM 2020.2.6, first upgrade to 2020.2.6 and then upgrade to 2022.3. Before upgrading, see Considerations for upgrading from the Orion Platform to the SolarWinds Platform.

You can upgrade your entire deployment from the My Deployment page (Settings > My Deployment).

For details, see Install or upgrade SolarWinds Platform products.
