IP Address Details
The IPAM IP Address Details page provides all details associated with an IP address, including Mac or host name assignment history, and DNS records. If SolarWinds Platform UDT is also installed, IP Addresses that are being tracked will also display the related UDT widgets on a second IP Address Details page.
To access the IP Address Details page:
- Go to My Dashboards > Manage Subnets and IP Addresses.
- Drill down to the required range of IP Addresses.
- Select a single IP address, and click View Details.
The IPAM IP Address Details page for the selected IP address is displayed.
If UDT is installed, and the selected IP address is being tracked, the
icon in the right column is displayed. Click to display UDT-related information for this IP address.
Historical tracking
Use the historical tracking feature for IP addresses, MAC assignments, and Host name assignments to view how properties have changed over time.
Click the arrow after the current time period to set the time period to view.
For example, you can track MAC addresses and host names previously assigned to an IP Address.
For IP addresses that have been deleted and added with a different node ID, IPAM history displays historical information from the date of the most recent node ID. Any information prior to the recent addition is deleted from IPAM history. IPAM does not retain historical information for deleted IP addresses.
By default, the IP Address Details page contains the following widgets:

- Hostname Assignment History
- IP Address DNS Records
If the selected IP Address is being tracked by UDT, the following widgets are displayed on the User & Devices page.
- Current Network Connections
- Endpoint Details
- Search for IP Address
- All Network Connections
- All User Log Ins
