Avior user account

Avior uses the same identity service as SolarWinds Observability SaaS, so you sign in with your own user account and then access the organizations you belong to.

A user account identifies an individual person, and an organization is the shared Avior workspace where a team manages access, connection settings, and product activity.

Organizations

An organization is the shared Avior space for your team. Each organization has its own members, roles, settings, and connection information. Owners and Admins manage organization-level setup, such as the initial Platform Connect connection, invite additional users, and control access to organization resources.

Each user can belong to more than one organization at a time and can have a different role in each one. To switch organizations, click your profile icon and select an organization listed under My Organizations.

Users

An Avior user account is required to access Avior. A user account represents one person and can be added to one or more organizations. If your team already has an organization, an Organization owner or Admin can invite you to join it.

After you accept the invitation and sign in, you complete your own onboarding steps within that organization, such as setting up the connection and your personal preferences.

If Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled for the organization, you will also be prompted to set up MFA for your user account. See Set up MFA for a user account.

Your organization role defines what you can see and do in that organization. For example, Owners and Admins can manage users and approve or control more actions, while Members have more limited access. See User roles and access levels for more information.

Log in to Avior

Depending on whether Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is enabled for any of the organizations you access, your exact login process may differ.

Check with your Organization owner to determine whether MFA is enabled for your organization.

  1. Open your Avior URL in the browser, such as https://avior.na-01.cloud.solarwinds.com/.

The URL may differ based on the data center you use. See Avior URLs.

  2. Enter your credentials.

If you are not already logged into your identity provider(s), you will be prompted to authenticate.

If you are a member of multiple organizations, you will be prompted to authenticate for each organization using your Avior user credential or using an identity provider.

Once you are logged in, you can access all organizations that you are a member of.

  3. Authenticate with your device (for organizations with MFA enabled):

    • If MFA was recently enabled for the organization and you have not yet configured MFA for your user account, set up MFA to continue to your user account. See Set up MFA for a user account.

    • If MFA is already configured for your user account, open the authenticator app on your device and enter the code listed for your solarwinds.com account. Authentication codes expire quickly; enter the code before the timer runs out or wait for a new code to display.

If you cannot find your device, use one of the recovery codes saved for your user account. See Set up MFA for a user account.
