Network Performance Monitor Installation and Upgrade Guide

Network Performance Monitor (NPM) gives you continuous visibility into the health and performance of your network devices across on-premises and hybrid environments.

NPM is a SolarWinds Platform product, and it is thus installed using the SolarWinds Installer. To obtain the installer, download NPM or any other SolarWinds Platform product from the SolarWinds Customer Portal. The installer is included in the download.

SolarWinds strongly recommends that you install the SolarWinds Platform on a server that is neither public, nor internet-facing. To learn about best practices for configuring your SolarWinds Platform installation securely, see Secure Configuration for the SolarWinds Platform.

Install NPM

To install NPM on premises, see the SolarWinds Platform products Installation and Upgrade Guide. This guide helps you prepare your environment and install NPM using the Orion Installer.

Upgrade NPM

You can upgrade NPM directly from the SolarWinds Platform Web Console (Settings > My Deployment).
