Out-of-office message

Introduction

Technicians can set up an out-of-office message in SolarWinds Service Desk (SWSD) and assign new incoming records to another individual or group (as long as the assigned individual/group possesses the relevant permissions) during the technician's absence.

Set up an out-of-office message

  1. Click your avatar icon in upper right, and from the dropdown, select My Account.

  2. Click the Settings tab.

  3. Scroll down to the Out of Office section.

  4. Enter the required Start and End Dates (marked with a red asterisk).

  5. Optionally, enter more information:

    • Select a value for automatic assignment of tickets during the absence. Be sure to select someone who has the permissions needed to view and work assignments.

    • Edit the out-of-office message as appropriate.

  6. Click Activate.
