Automation rule to mark assets as Disposed

Introduction
To prevent specific devices from appearing in the Active Computers list, customers can configure an automation rule to automatically update the asset status to Disposed based on a defined tag.

Create the automation rule
- From the Automation Rules index page, select the blue Add
icon to reveal the Add Automation Rule dialog. -
Configure the trigger:

Trigger: On Object Update

Scope: Asset

Configure the condition:

Field: Tag
(A different tag value can be used based on the your requirement.)

Condition: Equals disposed (current value)

Configure the action:
-
-
Action: Update the record
Update Field: Asset Status > Set to Disposed

After the automation rule is configured, any device updated with the specified tag will be automatically marked as Disposed on its Assets Details page and will no longer appear in the Active Computers list.
