Troubleshoot SAM issues and errors
If you encounters issues while using SAM, review SAM online help first. It contains content from all SAM-specific guides in the SolarWinds Success Center, plus product tips. To find troubleshooting-specific topics in online help, type Troubleshoot
in the Search bar, and then press Enter.
You can also access troubleshooting articles from the main page of the Success Center. Search for the product name, version number, text from error codes or messages, and the general issue you found.
To determine which version of SAM you're using, examine the bottom of the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
If you're not using the latest version of SAM, we recommend upgrading.

- Click Settings > My Deployment to run Active Diagnostics.
- Review the Troubleshooting section in the SolarWinds Platform online help.
- Visit the SolarWinds online IT community, THWACK, for product information plus tips from SolarWinds staff and other customers.
- Contact Technical Support. Gather related logs, diagnostics, screenshots, and error codes, and then attach the information to your ticket. See Tips and Tricks on opening a Support Ticket.
