New features and improvements

Patch Manager 2020.2.1 offers new features and improvements compared to previous releases of Patch Manager.

New post-update management shutdown option

The Update Management Wizard now includes a post-update management option that allows you to prevent all updated computers from restarting for a specific amount of time. This provides a grace period for users to complete their critical tasks and log out before their computers restart and apply the updates.

The grace period is set to 15 minutes by default. The maximum value is 1440 minutes (24 hours).

New Computer Update Status By Group report

This report describes the update completion status of all computers in a WSUS group. The update status is based on a selected time and date range.

You can access the report in the Patch Manager Web Console at Administration and Reporting > Reporting > WSUS Reports > Windows Server Update Services Analytics.

Internal improvements

This release includes updates and bug fixes that improve the product stability and functionality.
