Syslog Summary
This topic applies to the following products if you are NOT using the Orion Log Viewer to monitor syslogs.
DPAIM — NAM — NCM — NPM — NTA — SAM — SRM — VNQM
The Syslog Summary widget lists the number of Syslog messages received from monitored network devices over the specified period of time.
Available action

Click a device or message count to open the Syslog View.
You can also access the view by clicking Alerts & Activity > Syslogs in the menu bar.
Customize the widget
Click Edit to edit the title, select the time period over which to display Syslog message counts, and select the criterion used for grouping displayed Syslog messages.
The following criteria are available for grouping:
- Message Type
- IP Address
- Hostname
- Facility
- Severity
- Syslog Tag
- Vendor
- Machine Type
