Enable participation in SolarWinds Improvement Program (SWIP)

To participate in the SolarWinds Improvement Program, which also gives you access to overages, ensure that SWIP is enabled on your SolarWinds Platform server. In most cases, SWIP is already enabled by default during evaluation installs, but you can confirm or re-enable it at any time.

1. Log in to the SolarWinds Platform Web Console as an administrator and go to Advanced Configuration. Adjust the SolarWinds Platform Web Console URL as follows: [hostname]/Orion/Admin/advancedconfiguration/global.aspx

2. Find the Swip.Settings section.

3. Select the OptIn box.

4. Save your changes.

   By default, this option is enabled. The setting status is preserved after upgrades.

After you enable SWIP, the system sends usage, performance, and licensing data to SolarWinds. See SolarWinds Improvement Program for more details.

To verify, open License Manager to confirm that overage usage is being tracked.
