Documentation forNetFlow Traffic Analyzer
Analyzing network traffic and bandwidth is a key capability of SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted (formerly Hybrid Cloud Observability) and is available in the Advanced edition. NetFlow Traffic Analyzer (NTA) is also available in a standalone module.

Add NetFlow sources to NTA

After your flow-enabled device and its interfaces have been added to NPM, you must designate the device as a NetFlow source.

NTA only recognizes NetFlow version 9 templates that include all fields utilized by NetFlow version 5. For more information about supported NetFlow templates, see NTA flow requirements.

  1. Click My Dashboards > NetFlow > NTA Summary.
  2. Under NetFlow Sources, click Manage Sources.
  3. Select Exporters Only (Last 15 Minutes) from the Show list.
  4. Expand the device list to see all monitored nodes.
  5. Select NetFlow and/or CBQoS for the parent nodes of the interfaces you want to monitor.
  6. Click Submit.

For pure CBQoS devices, those that do not export NetFlow, use Show to filter for Cisco Only or All Devices and then select the CBQoS box.

NTA receives traffic data now and will display it within a few minutes.
