What is a Release Candidate?

A SolarWinds release candidate (RC) is a product that is made available to existing customers for the purpose of more fully testing an upcoming full product release. Release candidates are fully supported, and they may be installed in production environments, as each release candidate is intended to be a final general availability (GA) release. Notifications of opportunities to install and test release candidates are provided directly to existing customers, as determined by SolarWinds product management.
