Manage AWS VPCs in IPAM
IPAM integration with Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) enables you to view both on-premises networks and AWS VPCs, their subnets, and EC2 instances in the IPAM interface. You must have a SAM, VMAN, or SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted Advanced license to use this functionality.
VPCs are visible under Manage Subnets & IPs after your AWS cloud account is added and data polling is complete. If you have not added your AWS cloud account, see Add a cloud account to the SolarWinds Platform. Make sure the AWS account has the required permissions, see Configure AWS accounts for cloud monitoring.
-
Go to Settings > All Settings > Manage Subnets & IPs.
-
Expand VPCs. Your VPCs are listed in the left pane.
You can also click VPCs to view a complete list of all your VPCs in the right pane. -
In the left pane, expand a VPCs. The subnets of the VPC are listed. Click a VPC to view its subnets in the right pane, with the CIDR, mask, and the number of used IP addresses.

If an instance has more than one private IP address, each private address is listed with its associated public address.

The Advanced Search option at the top can be used to search for specific elements, such as VPC IP addresses or VPC subnet addresses across all available data.
Additional information
Only VPCs containing at least one monitored EC2 instance are displayed, and a VPC lists only the subnets in which monitored instances run. VPCs and subnets that are empty, or whose instances are not monitored, are not shown.
Subnets are identified by their AWS subnet ID, for example: subnet-0a1b2c3d4e5f67890
The VPC structure is read-only. You cannot add, edit, or delete VPCs and their subnets in IPAM.
If you do not want to display VPCs in the network tree, clear the Show VPC structure option in the IPAM system settings. See Define system settings for IPAM.
