EOC Installation and Upgrade Guide
EOC runs on the SolarWinds Platform (self-hosted), but it must be installed on a separate server from other products running on the SolarWinds Platform.
Install EOC
To install EOC, go to the SolarWinds Customer Portal and download the installer for EOC or the Enterprise entitlement associated with your SolarWinds Platform or SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted license.
The installer is actually the standard SolarWinds Installer; EOC is automatically selected during installation, and the installer UI and flow are the same standard process used for the SolarWinds Platform, with the caveat that EOC must be installed on its own server.
For virtual machines, make sure to copy the installer to the virtual machine rather than mount the ISO remotely.
SolarWinds strongly recommends that you install the SolarWinds Platform on a server that is neither public, nor internet-facing. To learn about best practices for configuring your SolarWinds Platform installation securely, see Secure Configuration for the SolarWinds Platform.
When installing EOC on a virtual machine (VM), if you are using the offline installer (ISO), copy the installer to the VM. Mounting the ISO in VMware and then sharing it with the VM will prevent you from installing EOC.

Upgrade EOC
As always, EOC must be installed on a separate server from other products running on the SolarWinds Platform. Use the SolarWinds Installer to upgradeEOC.
You can upgrade your entire deployment from the My Deployment page (Settings > My Deployment).

Install scalability engines for EOC

Note that while you can install an Additional web server for EOC, this will require an additional web server license. Furthermore, you can take advantage of High availability, but this product does not support additional polling engines.
