Screenshots of Last XX Step Failures

During transaction playback, WPM worker processes capture a screenshot for each step in a transaction.

  • Screenshots for failed steps are stored on the main SolarWinds Platform server and included in related WPM alerts. To display screenshots for a failed step in the SolarWinds Platform Web Console, navigate to the Transactions Details view and scroll to the Screenshots of Last XX Step Failures widget.
  • Screenshots for successful steps remain in a database on the remote system that hosts the WPM Player service, and are transferred to the SolarWinds Platform server if someone examines transaction details for the related step in the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.

This WPM widget displays the screenshots taken during the most recent transaction failures. It shows the time of each failure, the step name, the error message, and a thumbnail of the screenshot.

  • To view the details page for a step, click the step name.
  • To see a full-size image of the screenshot, click View screenshot full screen under the thumbnail.
  • To view the HTML of the page as it appeared at the time of the screenshot, click View HTML under the thumbnail.

Available customization

Click Edit to:

  • Change the Title and Subtitle of this widget.
  • Change the Maximum Number of Items to Display.
  • Filter the screenshots shown using an SWQL statement.
