Set the maximum email attachment size

You can restrict the email attachment size to conform with your email provider restrictions. This setting will alert you when a scheduled or generated report exceeds the maximum attachment size you enter in this setting.

If your reports exceed your email provider restrictions, consider setting up a secure file transfer protocol (SFTP) connection to one or more external Microsoft Window servers. This option allows you to deliver your reports directly to selected stakeholders in your organization.

  1. Log in to SEM as an administrator.

  2. In the toolbar, click the Settings icon.

  3. In the Settings screen left column, click Sharing.

  4. Click the Email tab.

  5. In the Maximum attachment size field, enter the maximum attachment size in megabytes based on your email provider restrictions. If your provider does not have any limitations, set the maximum attachment size based on your SEM deployment restrictions.

    The default size is 10 MB. You can enter 1 MB up to 10240 MB (10 GB).

    For example, 2000.

  6. Click Save.

    A message displays confirming the new configuration.
