Monitoring your applications and environment is a key capability of SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted (formerly Hybrid Cloud Observability) and is available in the Essentials edition. Server & Application Monitor (SAM) is also available in a standalone module.

Error code 16013 unable to access remote admin share

Error: Unable to access remote administrator share.

Cause: The remote administrator share cannot be accessed.

Resolution: You can enable this feature manually through the following steps:

  1. Ensure that both computers belong to the same Workgroup.
  2. Specify which user(s) can access the Administrator Shares (Disk Volumes).
  3. Enable File and Print Sharing through the Windows firewall.
  4. Check to see if you can access the Administrator share from another computer.
  5. When complete, rerun the steps in Assign AppInsight for IIS to nodes in SAM.
