Webhooks or Slack Integration

To get Slack alerts, use the slack app available here

Setting up webhooks with Pingdom is a real fast and simple thing, these Webhooks are the gold standard for integrating Pingdom with other systems.

To set up a webhook you do the following:

  1. Go to Integrations > Integrations
  2. Click Add new in the top right corner
  3. Add a name for the integration
  4. Point it to your webhook handling URL by typing it into the URL field
  5. Click Save integration

You're almost done! Now you need to enable it in the check settings, so head over to Monitoring > Uptime and open up a check.

Make sure to tick the box next to your newly created webhook and you'll get all sorts of nifty data with a POST request to your URL when the status of your check changes!

Note: To avoid any data related issue we highly recommend to use the webhook in the App mentioned above "To get Slack alerts, use the slack app available here".

To interpret the data you receive, see our developer site.
