Hardware Details

The Hardware Details widget provides general information about a UCS device, such as status, model and service tag details. It appears on Node Details pages for the UCS controller, blades, and rack servers, as well as UCS Chassis Details pages.

Depending on the current device, hyperlinks to the Cisco UCS Manager web portal may appear in this widget.

  • For a chassis, the link opens the UCS Manager page for the parent controller.
  • For a blade, two links appear: 
    • One link opens the UCS Manager page for the parent controller.
    • One link opens the UCS Manager page for the blade server.

Note the following details about the Hardware Details widget:

  • Information displayed varies by device.
  • The status icon on this widget refers to the device's Hardware Health polling status, not the device status.

Available actions

  • Click the IP address next to the chassis name to open the Node Details page for the parent UCS controller.
  • Click a Cisco UCS Manager hyperlink to access the UCS Manager web portal to configure or restart the controller or a blade server.
