When you add a network device that is an edge network device (its device type is SD-WAN), the device details view includes an SD-WAN tab with health details and more information on WAN utilization, WAN uplinks, tunnels, and relevant interfaces.

You can add orchestrators and monitor the health, performance, and statistics of SD-WAN orchestrators, wireless controllers, and edge devices.

On Network > Network Devices, click the SD-WAN tile to see a list of monitored SD-WAN devices.

• Click a row with an SD-WAN device to see more details in the Inspector Panel.
• Click an SD-WAN device name to open the details view for the device.

Tunnel Performance

SolarWinds Observability SaaS monitors SD-WAN tunnel performance. In the Entity Explorer for monitored SD-WAN devices, an extra tab Tunnel Performance is displayed. Provided details include jitter, latency, or packet loss by tunnel.

Collecting and displaying tunnel performance data requires Network Collector 2023.4 or later.
