Edit integrations

Settings available for editing depend on the selected integration. You can edit for example configured endpoints, connection intervals, or credentials.

For integrations running on the same physical or virtual machine as the SolarWinds Observability Agent (On Host), you can also enable/disable log collection or edit log collection options, such as the location for log files or the poll interval. For details, follow the link for the integration in Configure native OTel integrations.

Edit integrations with an entity, such as Apache, IIS, or NGINX

  1. Go to the Entity Explorer and search for the integration.

  2. On the Entity Details view, find the Details widget (top-right widget on the Overview tab) and click the Host Agent ID.

    The Agents page will open and the row with the host will be highlighted.

  3. Expand the host and find the plugin you want to edit.

  4. Click the vertical ellipsis at the end of the row and select Edit.

    The Edit Configuration screen will open.

  5. Make the changes and complete the wizard.

Edit integrations without an entity, such as Elasticsearch, Kafka, Memcached, OTLP, Prometheus, RabbitMQ, Redis, or ZooKeeper

  1. Click Dashboards and type the integration name into the search box.

  2. Click the integration to open the system dashboard.

  3. In the filter box, type host.name:. Click on the suggested name to add it to the filter box and copy the host name.

  4. Go to Settings > Agents and search for the host name.

  5. Expand the host and find the plugin you want to edit.

  6. Click the vertical ellipsis at the end of the row and select Edit.

    The Edit Configuration screen will open.

  7. Make the changes and complete the wizard.
