NTM 2.2.2 System Requirements

You cannot install both NTM and SolarWinds Platform products, such as SolarWinds Hybrid Cloud Observability, on the same machine. If installed on the same machine, one of the products will not work.

SolarWinds strongly recommends that you install Network Topology Mapper on a server that is neither public, nor internet-facing. To learn about best practices for configuring your Network Topology Mapper installation securely, see Best practices to secure SolarWinds Products.

The following tables provide the minimum requirements for SolarWinds NTM.

Device discovery and map rendering are CPU-intensive. SolarWinds recommends installing NTM on the fastest CPU PC available.

135 and a range between 1024 and 65535 TCP/UDP SolarWinds Network Topology Job Scheduler Bidirectional

WMI uses TCP Port 135 and a range of dynamic ports between 1024 and 65535. You can set up WMI to use a custom range.
