Managing network configurations is a key capability of SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted (formerly Hybrid Cloud Observability) and is available in the Advanced edition. Network Configuration Manager (NCM) is also available in a standalone module.
Configure NCM email notifications
SMTP server credentials used to send notifications for config change approvals, real time change detection, and running jobs
Click Settings > All Settings.
Under Product Specific Settings, click NCM Settings.
Under Manage Notifications, click SMTP Server.
Enter the fully qualified domain name (FQDN) of the server in Email Server Address.
Enter the Port Number on which the server handles messages.
Select an Authentication type.
If you selected Password as your Authentication type, enter a user name and password that the server accepts.
Click Submit.
Email notification defaults used in new scheduled jobs
Click Settings > All Settings.
Under Product Specific Settings, click NCM Settings.
Under Manage Notifications, click Email Notification.
Enter in Sender Name the name you want to appear in a job completion notification.
Enter a Reply Address if desired.
Enter the Subject to be used to send a job completion notification.
