New features and improvements in KSS NG
Support for new databases
KSS NG 1.5 extends Log to database bulk insert action functionality and has added support for PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle DB, and MongoDB.
Added email verbose logging
Enabling verbose logging under Settings > Mail > General > Email logging options allows the service to track all activities even when the SMTP server is disabled or inaccessible.
Improved timezone support for LogToFile action
You can now configure whether time-related AutoSplit variables use UTC or local time for LogToFile action file naming (Settings > Formatting > Log to file settings). The file name now includes local timezone information, with the last five characters indicating the timezone offset. For example, mylog_20251020072355123-0600.txt would be for a local time of UTC -6.
Service and installer moved to .NET 10
The KSS NG service and installer has been moved to .NET 10, using .NET Runtime v10.0.1 and ASP .NetCore Runtime v.10.0.1.

Installation or upgrade

KSS NG is a separate application from the legacy version of Kiwi Syslog Server. If you installed the legacy version of Kiwi Syslog Server, you must either uninstall it or stop the KSS server before installing KSS NG. Legacy Kiwi Syslog Server and Kiwi Syslog Server NG cannot run on the same machine because they use the same listening ports.
