Port requirements

Kiwi CatTools NG NG 2026.2 uses the following ports:

Port Protocol Direction Description
69 UDP Bidirectional TFTP port for KCT NG to transfer config files.
514 UDP/TCP Outbound Sends log messages to syslog server.
50051 TCP Localhost only gRPC channel used exclusively for communication between internal UI and KiwiCat Service.
23 TCP Outbound Telnet port for KCT NG to transfer configurations.
22 TCP Outbound SSH port for KCT NG to transfer configurations.

161 UDP Outbound Sends SNMP traps to a trap receiver.
When KCT NG NG is installed on a machine that also has legacy KCT NG installed, only one TFTP service can be active at time, as both use UDP port 69. If the TFTP service in KCT NG is running, the TFTP service in legacy KCT NG must remain stopped.
