View the dashboard

Click Dashboard in the toolbar to view your managed widgets. You can add additional widgets by clicking the Add Widgets drop-down menu.

The Dashboard displays status summary information about your devices, groups, and monitors. It consolidates small reports (known as widgets) into a summary page that displays status information about your devices, groups, and monitors.


Widgets (also known as web resources) collect data from your network devices and display the results using text and graphics. When you click a device in a widget, the Dashboard displays text and graphs that provide details about the device.

Below is an example of a widget you can select from the Add Widgets drop-down menu.

All widgets you select in the Dashboard view display in the My Network screen. These widgets cannot be shared with any other group. All other groups, devices, and monitors share a common dashboard layout with other dashboards of the same kind.

My Network Contents

The My Network Contents web resource provides the status of all devices and groups in your network. When you click a resource (such as All Managed Devices), ipMonitor displays all resources for the selected category in a separate view.

Add a widget

  1. In the top right corner of the dashboard, click Add Widgets.

  2. Click an option in the drop-down menu.

  3. Click OK.

    The widget is added to the My Network screen in the Dashboard.

View widget details

Each widget you add to your My Network view includes links to devices or groups for the targeted resource. To view the resource details, click the resource link to display the resource details.

Change the column settings

By default, the Dashboard view displays your My Network web resources in two columns. You can add additional columns or drag your web resource to a new column.

To move a web resource to a new location, click the resource header and drag the header to a new location.

To modify your column settings:

  1. Click Change Columns.
  2. In the Change Columns window, change your column settings as required. You can add or delete columns or change the column width.

  3. Click OK.
