Kea credentials

IPAM supports monitoring and management of Kea DHCP servers. IPAM utilizes Kea’s REST Management API to fetch data from the server.

Kea credentials are managed in the Add DHCP server wizard.

In the credentials step of the wizard, after selecting Kea credentials:

  1. Enter a display name for the credentials.

  2. If you have not configured authentication for your Kea services, uncheck Use authentication, which is checked by default (not recommended). For instructions on configuring authentication, see Requirements for monitoring Kea servers.

  3. If you have configured and are running DHCPv4 and/or DHCPv6 Kea services, select Enable IPv4 service credentials and/or Enable IPv6 service credentials.

  4. Enter the username and password for your enabled services.

  5. Enter the ports for your enabled services.

  6. If you want to connect using HTTP instead of HTTPS (not recommended), turn off the Use HTTPS switch.
