Specify global settings
Use these settings to define when an inactive session should be terminated, or permit access to SolarWinds Platform views from monitoring results.
Global settings are applied for all tools and all users.
-
Log in to the SolarWinds Platform Web Console as an administrator.
-
Click Settings > All Settings. Then, under Product Specific Settings, click Toolset Settings.
-
Under Global Settings, click Toolset Global Settings.
-
In the Max User Inactivity Period field, specify the time period in seconds after which an inactive session will be terminated. The default value is 900 seconds.
A session is considered inactive if you have no tool running and are not using the SolarWinds Platform Web Console.
-
Select the SolarWinds Platform Integration of Monitored Nodes option to allow users to open node detail views directly from tables that contain monitoring results. When you monitor a device and present the data in a table, you can click node names in the table to open the node details view. However, not all browsers support this feature. This option is not selected by default.
-
Select the Allow NCM Connection Profile on SSH Client option if you want the NCM Connection Profile to appear on the Toolset SSH Client page for the selected node. This option is selected by default.
-
Click Save Changes.
