Manage connection profiles

A global connection profile specifies the information that ETS for the Web needs to connect to a node, such as credentials and ports. Each global connection profile can be applied to multiple nodes. You can define multiple connection profiles. When connection information changes (for example, a password is updated), you can update the value for all associated nodes in one place.

  1. Log in to the SolarWinds Platform Web Console as an administrator.

  2. Click Settings > All Settings. Then, under Product Specific Settings, click Toolset Settings.

  3. Under Global Settings, click Connection Profiles.

  4. To create a new connection profile:

    1. Click Create New.

    2. Specify the name of the profile, the credentials, and the port used for the connection.

    3. Click Submit.

  5. To assign a connection profile to nodes:

    1. Select the profile, and click Assign to Nodes.

    2. On the Assign <profile> to Nodes page, select the nodes that will use this connection profile.

Selected nodes are listed to the right of the nodes table.

    3. Click Submit to assign the connection profiles.

Click Assign to Nodes again to add or remove nodes.

  6. To edit a connection profile:

    1. Select the profile, and click Edit.
