New features and improvements in ETS for the Desktop

Discovery Console tech-preview

ETS for the Desktop 2026.2 introduces the Discovery Console as a tech-preview. The Discovery Console combines the functionality of Ping Sweep, Traceroute-ng, Subnet list, and MIB walk to scan and troubleshoot any IP entered address or device under one toolset. With the Discovery Console, you can perform a fast sweep of IP address ranges, view the network path from your PC to a target server, find out which MIBs and OIDs are supported on your device, and build a list of network subnets all from one Console interface.

DNS Audit tool improved performance

DNS Audit has been upgraded to improve functionality and overall performance.

Network Sonar tool improved performance

Network Sonar tool has been upgraded to improve functionality and overall performance.

DNS Resolver tool improved performance

DNS Resolver has been upgraded to improve functionality and overall performance.

Subnet Calculator improved performance

Subnet Calculator has been upgraded to improve functionality and overall performance.

DHCP Scope Monitor improved performance

DHCP Scope Monitor has been upgraded to improve functionality and overall performance.

General improvements

  • One set of configuration settings for all integrated tools in the Discovery Console.
  • Neighbor Map tool lets you map more devices.

July 23, 2027: End-of-Life (EoL) – SolarWinds will no longer provide technical support for ETS for the Desktop version 2024.2.
2024.1 June 23, 2026: End-of-Life (EoL) announcement – Customers on ETS for the Desktop version 2024.1 or earlier should begin transitioning to the latest version of ETS for the Desktop. July 23, 2026: End-of-Engineering (EoE) – Service releases, bug fixes, workarounds, and service packs for ETS for the Desktop version 2024.1 or earlier will no longer actively be supported by SolarWinds. July 23, 2027: End-of-Life (EoL) – SolarWinds will no longer provide technical support for ETS for the Desktop version 2024.1.
