Linux Agent release notes
These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in the Dameware Remote Everywhere Linux Agent.
The Linux Agent can be accessed via download from the Admin Area. The Admin Area can be accessed via web browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, etc. Mobile components can be downloaded from either the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Support for multiple sessions
The Agent now supports running multiple remote sessions at the same time.
Stability improvements
Improvement to the Capture Agent management process
The robustness of the Capture Agent has been enhanced to improve performance and stability.
Automated log file rotation
Log management has been improved and logs are now rotated automatically after 15 days.
Thread-safe logging
DRE has implemented thread-safe logging mechanisms. You can now log from multiple threads without crashing the Agent.

New port forwarding functionality
Dameware Remote Everywhere now includes port forwarding between local and remote ports during a DRE session from a Windows or macOS Console to a Linux Agent. As a result, users can now securely connect to services such as SSH and SFTP without a VPN.

Streamlined installation process for Ubuntu
Dameware Remote Everywhere now employs a more efficient installation process, uses a single installer for all versions of Ubuntu, and improves the resolution time for Ubuntu end users.
