iOS Console release notes

These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in the Dameware Remote Everywhere iOS Console.

The iOS Console can be accessed via download from the Apple App store. Desktop components can be downloaded from the Admin Area. The Admin Area can be accessed via web browsers such as Chrome, Firefox, etc.

Keyboard add-on

The Dameware Remote Everywhere iOS Console now includes a keyboard add-on that allows Technicians to deploy keyboard shortcuts to both macOS and Windows remote devices during a session.

Two-factor authentication for remote Windows sessions

Dameware Remote Everywhere now gives end users the option to use two-factor authentication before allowing Technicians to perform remote support on Windows devices. Technicians can activate two-factor authentication in Administrator Mode from the Viewer. Once logged in to the remote device, open the Agent Configurator program to configure the two-factor authentication settings.

Fixed issues

Description
While using an iOS device in landscape orientation, the remote cursor in Trackpad Mode is now correctly positioned.
Technicians using iPads can now view the remote cursor.
The Viewer navigation menu no longer disappears when switching between landscape and portrait orientations.
The Console application no longer terminates unexpectedly while running in the background.

Performance enhancements in iOS 13

Users can now expect even smoother performance and greater compatibility within all components for iOS 13.

Passportal Integration for Germany and Australia

The integration of Passportal for Germany and Australia in the macOS Console is also available in the iOS app, allowing effortless incorporation with any Passportal instances in these regions from users' iPhones.
