Manage the Saved Host List and Personal Host List in Dameware
Each time a technician uses Dameware Mini Remote Control to connect with an end user internal to the network, the end user's computer is automatically saved to the Saved Host List. A saved host includes the IP address and credentials of the computer with which the technician wants to connect. Saved hosts reduce the time and potential for error involved in typing end user credentials each time a technician attempts to make a connection.
Starting with Dameware 11.2.0, Dameware enabled you to transfer Saved Host Lists from one machine to another. However, in versions of Dameware prior to version 12.2.2, moving Saved Host Lists did not involve passwords.
- If you upgrade to Dameware Mini Remote Control version 11.2.0 or later versions from a previous version, the Saved Host List information from your previous installation's MRC.dbf file is converted to an MRCCv2.db file.
- The MRCCv2.db file is saved in the following location:
C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\DameWare Development\MRCCv2.db
- The encrypted credentials stored in the registry are in the following location:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DameWare Development\Mini Remote Control\Data

Export the Saved Host List
