Configure AD scans (Web Client)
The AD resource configuration includes several controls you can use to configure, schedule, and start your Active Directory (AD) scan in the ARM Web Client.
Below is an example of the AD configuration controls.
The following table describes the controls you can use to configure and initiate your AD scan.

Indicates an AD configuration. |

Starts and stops the AD scan. During and after a scan the light green box indicates the progress and success of the scan. All scans are saved for 14 days. |

Sets or disables the AD scan schedule. The schedule displays in the scan configuration description. |

Deletes the scan configuration. Delete stored scans, or keep stored scans for the selected scan configuration. |

Indicates the scan configuration name. You can change the configuration name. If you configured several resource scans, use the filter to locate and select a configuration for your scan. |
Configure resources

Click Scan > Scan Configuration to open the scan configurations. Active Directory is opened by default.

Click Active Directory to open the Scan Configuration window.

Click Credentials to add new credentials.

Enter your scan credentials:

Enter the username.

Enter the associated password.

Enter the associated domain.

Click Apply.

Click the Active Directory target. Click Apply.

The Active Directory scan configuration is added as a daily scan by default. Click
to modify the schedule. -
Set the scan frequency (On Demand, Hourly, Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, or Yearly).

Set the schedule settings:

Enter the time to start the scan.

Select the scan timezone.

Review the scan settings.

Click Apply Schedule.

Set the account that can make changes to the schedule"

Click the not set link to open the scan credentials window.

Enter the username.
-
Enter the associated password.

Enter the associated domain.

Click Apply to save your changes.
