Avior release notes
These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in Avior.
October 2026
The following new features, improvements, and fixed issues were made to Avior during October.
Guided onboarding
New
Connect supported SolarWinds products, review an automatic environment scan, personalize Avior for your role and preferred autonomy level, and select goals to begin monitoring your environment.
Daily operational digest
New
Start each session from a prioritized home page that summarizes important environment changes, pending proposals, active issues, running goals, recent sessions, and current node status. You can also receive this summary as a personalized daily email on a schedule you can set in Settings.
Outcome-driven goals
New
Activate measurable operational goals that continuously collect metrics, analyze findings, plan actions, and evaluate results. Goal details provide current status, performance metrics, activity history, proposals, and actions.
Transparent investigation sessions
New
Investigate operational issues with full visibility into the tools and queries Avior uses. Review generated evidence and artifacts, follow plain-language progress updates, and receive a summary with findings and recommended next steps.
Proposal review and approval
New
Review the expected benefit and risk of proposed agent actions before approving or declining them. The new Inbox brings pending proposals, delegated human tasks, and decision history together across goals and sessions.
Plan Mode
New
Preview how Avior analyzes your environment and recommends actions without executing changes. Use simulated activity to validate proposed behavior before increasing the autonomy level.
Environment insights
New
Explore live infrastructure health from the Environment view. Review node status, active alerts, compliance violations, observability insights, and detailed metrics, or start an investigation focused on a specific node.
Personalized experience and autonomy
New
Tailor Avior with appearance, response verbosity, and free-text preferences. Choose an autonomy level from Conservative through Autonomous to control which actions require approval and which can run automatically.
Enhanced investigation sessions
New
The chat is now the default investigation interface, featuring inline tool approvals, a resizable artifacts panel, entity chips with hover cards, and direct alert-triage entry from the home page for faster issue analysis.
Organization-wide autonomy governance
New
Administrators can now set organization-wide maximum autonomy levels and approval mode policies, with personal autonomy validation and confirmation dialogs to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Advanced security settings
New
New security configuration options include SAML Single Sign-On, multi-factor authentication, and session timeout settings for enhanced organizational control and compliance.
User and role management
New
Administrators can now manage user roles, permissions, and user integration more effectively with improved role-based access controls and user management interfaces.
Usage and credits tracking
New
Monitor LLM usage, credit consumption, and associated costs with the new Usage and Credits dashboard. Track consumption trends and manage workload optimization.
