Set up autonomy
Choose what Avior agents can do on your behalf in Sessions and Goals without your approval.
Autonomy levels
-
Conservative - Read-only actions proceed without approval. Any change requires approval.
-
Balanced - Agents make routine, non-destructive changes on their own. Potentially destructive changes wait for your approval.
-
Autonomous - Agents in your sessions and any goal set to autonomous act without asking for approval.
As you move your autonomy settings from Conservative to Balanced or Autonomous, Avior runs more routine, low‑risk actions automatically instead of waiting for your approval.
Change autonomy settings
-
Click Settings > Autonomy.
-
Review Organization policy to see the tenant-wide autonomy ceiling.
This is the maximum level of autonomy users can have. Their personal default cannot exceed this level.
You need to be Admin or owner to change the organization policy.
-
In Personal default, choose the default autonomy for your chat sessions and goals.
-
By default, new goals start in Plan Mode. To change this default for newly created goals, disable the Default goals to Plan Mode toggle.
Existing goals keep their current setting unless you change them individually in the goal configuration.
