Investigate an issue in a session

On Home, click on one of the environment issues.

Clicking Investigate All on an issue, or starting a new request from the search field, opens a session. Sessions are where Avior does its deepest analysis, and they're designed to be fully transparent so you can build trust in how the agent works.

  1. Enter or select what you want to investigate. For example: "Investigate ISP1 circuit utilization above 90% on GigabitEthernet0/0/1 on TDF‑*****."

  2. Watch the tools queried panels as Avior works. Click one to expand it and see exactly which skills and tools were used — for example, a network‑troubleshooting skill, a data‑retrieval skill, or a specific SWQL (SolarWinds Query Language) query and its result.

  3. As Avior finishes each stage, it posts a short plain‑language update explaining what it just did and what it's doing next.

  4. Review the artifacts panel on the right side of the screen. Avior automatically generates supporting evidence here, such as node health snapshots, interface details, and traffic charts, which you can copy, reuse, or fork into a new session. Use the Show artifacts toggle to show or hide this panel.

  5. Read the Investigation Summary at the end of the session. This includes the key findings (for example, the root cause), confirmation of what is and isn't a problem, and a numbered list of recommended next steps.

Avior is intentionally not a black box. Every tool call, query, and generated artifact is visible, so you always know how the agent reached its conclusions and recommendations.

You can continue the conversation from any session — for example, by clicking one of the suggested follow‑up questions at the end of the summary — to dig deeper without losing the context already gathered.
