Pingdom URLs and IP addresses
One of the most common reason for Pingdom reporting an outage is not that a site or server is down, but that our servers are being blocked by a firewall or access control list. Your server or site must open access to Pingdom URLs and IP addresses so Pingdom functions can complete.
Probe Servers
To view a detailed list of all probe servers, their locations, and their IP address, click on Synthetics in the side menu and select Probe Servers, or navigate to the following URL https://my.pingdom.com/app/probes. The following links provide the probe servers' IP addresses in various formats:
- IPv4 addresses in plain text format
- IPv6 addresses in plain text format
- RSS feed of all IP addresses
The RSS feed can be parsed to extract IP addresses by their locations, can be leveraged to deploy IP addresses to firewalls, and can be incorporated in a Slack channel or RSS feed reader to keep you up to date.
The list of probe servers can also be retrieved by using our HTTP API to be used in scripts etc. You can read about the probe server API function at: https://www.pingdom.com/resources/api/#ResourceProbes
