Identity Monitor breach catalog

The breach catalog is a collection of detected data breaches that have affected your domains or email addresses on the watchlist.

The breaches are categorized based on the type of information exposed or at risk, such as:

  • Usernames / Passwords
  • Phone numbers
  • Financial information
  • Personally identifiable information

Additionally, you can further filter these categories by the source of the breach details:

Private data sources

Data shared by suspicious actors on private sources, such as online forums not open to the public, are breaches considered urgent or critical in nature. This data is typically not available for purchase by legal entities when posted in private forums.

When you view private source breach details, a remediation overview is also provided based on the type of data exposed, which recommends next steps to take.

Public data sources

Public sources include sites that common browsers of the Internet can access to find or purchase stolen data. These includes public leak forums, pastebins, and file sharing networks.

When you view public source breach details, a remediation overview is also provided based on the type of data exposed, which recommends next steps to take.

SpySight sources

SpySight is a process by which Identity Monitor collects breach information from various sources and placed into a single report.

When you view SpySight source breach details, a remediation overview is also provided based on the type of data exposed, which recommends next steps to take.
