SRM Getting Started Guide

Set up your first arrays and learn how to navigate through the SRM dashboards to monitor performance and capacity.

To get started with SRM, perform the following tasks:

	Determine where to start. Have you already installed and configured other SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted products? If this is your first SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted product, start with the tasks listed in the SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted Getting Started Guide, and then continue with this list. If you have already performed those tasks for one or more SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted products, continue with this list.
	Review SRM terminology. Familiarize yourself with SRM product terminology
	Add a storage array. Add an array to SRM so that SRM can discover and monitor its storage objects.
	Thresholds. Review and configure warning and critical Thresholds for the storage objects you monitor.
	Monitor storage performance and capacity. How to keep track of current storage usage and anticipate future storage needs. See Performance monitoring.
	Integrate SRM with other SolarWinds Platform products. See Using PerfStack with SRM and AppStack integration for information on how to integrate SRM with other SolarWinds Platform products.
