SolarWinds NTA Getting Started Guide
NTA collects Class Based Quality of Service (CBQoS) and flow data, processes it, and together with performance data collected by SolarWinds NPM, presents the data in graphs and reports to show bandwidth use on your network.
To get started with NTA, complete the following tasks:
Determine where to start. Have you already installed and configured other SolarWinds Observability Self-Hosted products?
Set up your flow environment. Understand what protocols NTA supports. See NTA flow requirements. Review the recommendations for setting up your flow environment. See Flow environment best practices. Configure the device to send, push, or export data to NTA. See Set up network devices to export NetFlow data. |
Create custom NTA views. Use the Flow Navigator filters to create custom traffic views directly from any NetFlow view. See Create custom views with the Flow Navigator. |
Define NTA alerts. Use NTA alerts to become aware of issues and address them proactively to limit the effect on end users. You can create the following types of alerts:
Configure NTA reports. Use reports to monitor interface-level network bandwidth and traffic patterns over the course of months, days, or minutes. See Create a report in NTA. |
