Setup menu for administrators

Initial setup of SolarWinds Service Desk (SWSD) must be performed by an administrator. The Setup Home page provides you with all of the features that should be set up before you begin using SWSD.

To use SWSD to maintain a single area of your organization, login to SWSD.

  1. Enter your account email (which is your login ID) and password.
  2. In the left navigation pane, scroll down to the last option, and then click Setup.

Some customers may wish to manage multiple accounts instead of a single area. For more information, see Managing Multiple Accounts.

SWSD Setup Home page

After logging in as an administrator, you see the SWSD Setup Home page. On the left you see the navigation menu. On the right are tiles representing the same options as the navigation menu. You can use either to navigate through the setup process.
