To set up a new installation of Hybrid Cloud Observability or to upgrade your existing server to the latest version, download the installation package included in your Hybrid Cloud Observability license from the Customer Portal. The SolarWinds Installer guides you through the installation or upgrade process.

About upgrading to Hybrid Cloud Observability

Hybrid Cloud Observability is an on-premises product that runs on the SolarWinds Platform, which is an evolution of the Orion Platform.

Platform products 2022.3 and later run on the SolarWinds Platform. If you have licenses for platform product modules (such as NPM or SAM) that run on the SolarWinds Platform and you want to evaluate Hybrid Cloud Observability, you can activate it with just a few clicks. There is no installation and no downtime. For instructions, see Install a new SolarWinds Platform product in an existing deployment. After the evaluation, you can complete the upgrade by applying a license key. Or you can deactivate Hybrid Cloud Observability and return to your modules without any downtime or data loss.
