Add new manufacturers

Use the Manufacturers Info page to add hardware and software and other asset manufacturer contact information.

  1. Click Setup > Assets > Manufacturers & Models.
  2. Click New.
  3. Enter the full manufacturer name.

  4. Enter a shortened name that will be used to append the model information in all Web Help Desk asset screens.

    For example, you can enter Microsoft, Incorporated for the full name and Microsoft for the short name. In this example, the Model field would display Microsoft Office instead of Microsoft Incorporated Office.

  5. Enter the address, city, state, zip code, and country where the manufacturer is located.

  6. Enter the contact phone and FAX number of the manufacturer.

  7. Enter the website URL of the manufacturer.

  8. Click Save.

Delete a manufacturer

  1. On the toolbar, click Setup > Assets > Manufacturers & Models.

  2. Select the checkbox next to each manufacturer you want to delete.

  3. Click Delete.
