Install the OpenBase JDBC driver
The OpenBase JDBC driver is not bundled with Web Help Desk 12.4 and later. To create an asset discovery connection in these versions to an OpenBase database, download the latest OpenBase JDBC driver and manually install the driver in your Web Help Desk system.
Install the driver on a Microsoft Windows system
- Download the latest OpenBase JDBC driver from the OpenBase website.
- Extract the ZIP file to a directory.
- Open the
OpenBaseJDBC_Jan2009
directory and navigate toOpenBaseJDBC_Jan2009\JDBC_01.15.2009
. - Locate the
OpenBaseJDBC.jar
file. -
Copy the file to the following directory:
<WebHelpDesk>\bin\webapps\helpdesk\WEB-INF\lib\
- Restart Web Help Desk.

Install the driver on an Apple OS X system
- Download the latest OpenBase JDBC driver from the OpenBase website.
- Extract the ZIP file to a directory.
- Open the
OpenBaseJDBC_Jan2009
directory and navigate toOpenBaseJDBC_Jan2009/JDBC_01.15.2009
. - Locate the
OpenBaseJDBC.jar
file. -
Copy the file to the following directory:
Library/WebHelpDesk/bin/webapps/helpdesk/WEB-INF/lib/

Restart Web Help Desk.

Install the driver on a Linux system
- Download the latest OpenBase JDBC driver from the OpenBase website.
- Extract the ZIP file to a directory.
- Open the
OpenBaseJDBC_Jan2009
directory and navigate toOpenBaseJDBC_Jan2009/JDBC_01.15.2009
. - Locate the
OpenBaseJDBC.jar
file. -
Copy the file to the following directory:
usr/local/WebHelpDesk/bin/webapps/helpdesk/WEB-INF/lib/
