Serv-U File Server 15.1.1 Release Notes

These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in Serv-U File Server 15.1.1. They also provide information about upgrades and describe workarounds for known issues.

- Serv-U no longer supports Internet Explorer 7.
- SSLv3 and SSLv2 are now disabled in Serv-U.
New features and improvements in Serv-U
Serv-U v15.1.1 includes the following new features and improvements:
- Improved user experience in SSH2 encryption
The SSH key fingerprint associated with private keys is now displayed on the user interface.
- Easy access to the thwack community
The Serv-U Management Console now provides direct access to the thwack community.
- Enhanced file sharing
Serv-U now supports specifying the valid file sharing sources of outgoing file shares, and the expiration state of the share is displayed in the file share's detailed page.
- Redesigned Serv-U Login page
The default Serv-U login page now comes in enhanced design.
- Improved logging and security
Serv-U now contains IP address logging at the group level, and additional HTTP response headers to mitigate security scan warnings.
Fixed issues
Serv-U 15.1.1 fixes the following issues.

- | Fixed an FTP Voyager JV issue where it was not possible to navigate through the local and remote List Panes by using keyboard buttons. |
- | Fixed a potential security issue where the version of OpenSSL used could render Serv-U vulnerable to MITM attacks. |
- | Fixed an issue which caused false security scan alarms to be issued. |
- | Variables in email templates were replaced only once. |
- | Memory allocated by OpenSSL was not copied to SSH buffers and was not freed appropriately. |
540310 | An Upload Complete event was fired after every 2 GB when uploading files from FTP Voyager JV or Web Client Pro. |
- | Fixed an issue where browsers froze while Web Client Pro was being loaded. |
- | Fixed an issue where the Export/Import browse dialog did not show the directory path during navigation. |
- | When Web Client Pro is enabled and it is resized, dragging and dropping items in the file listing of the Web Client does not work correctly. |
- | The user interface did not reflect whether it was the owner or a guest accessing an expired file share. |
- | The Serv-U dashboard failed to load in certain versions of Internet Explorer. |
- | Fixes to issues with the user interface. |
- | Fixes an issue where Web Client Pro failed to launch. |
- | Added validation to make sure data entered in Serv-U event descriptions is under the maximum varchar length of the database table column. |
- | Right-clicking on a database user raised an error. |
- | Fixed an issue where Serv-U did not check for browser version when the Management Console was launched from the Serv-U Tray. |
- | FTP Voyager JV did not properly list the Libraries folder on Windows Vista and later. |
- | Exporting a user did not export SSH public keys. |
- | Fixed an issue where the link to a file share was editable in the Request file share confirmation window. |
- | Searching in file shares did not work as expected. |
- | It was not possible to change the password for anonymous file shares. |
