The following are the most Frequently Asked Questions about FTP Voyager:

Q: My file size changes when I upload or download a file.
A: You are probably using ASCII transfer mode. Make sure you're using Binary Mode (ASCII Mode is not selected).

Q: When I download my Microsoft Access database and try to use it, Microsoft Access cannot read the file.
A: You are probably using ASCII transfer mode. Make sure you're using Binary Mode (ASCII Mode is not selected).

Q: After uploading HTML files, a ^M is put at the end of each line.

Q: My company is using a proxy server. How do I configure FTP Voyager to use the proxy server?
A: Go to the "Advanced Options" dialog for the site profile, select the Proxy category, then select "UserID = user@site" for the "FTP Proxy Server Type". Depending on your proxy server you may need to use a different port setting and/or use PASV mode.

Q: My company is using a proxy server which requires a password. How do I configure FTP Voyager to use the proxy server?
A: Go to the "Advanced Options" dialog for the site profile, select the Proxy category, then select "UserID = user@site" for the "FTP Proxy Server Type". Depending on your proxy server you may need to use a different port setting and/or use PASV mode. Then enter your proxy server password in the space provided.

Q: I just installed FTP Voyager, but Drag and Drop does not work.
A: After installation you must restart Windows.

Q: I just installed FTP Voyager and rebooted, but Drag and Drop does not work.
A: It's possible that you don't have privileges to install software on this version of Windows.

Q: I want to see both drives C and D. How do I do that?
A: If you need to seem them both at the same time, the best way is to create a Folder Shortcuts within the site profile, that points to the drive. Otherwise, you may also create a separate site for drive C and for drive D.

Q: When I upload my web site to my server, FTP Voyager delays for a long time before starting the download. Why does it do this?
A: You probably have "Upload Newer Files Only" selected in the Options dialog. FTP Voyager opens each folder in the destination folder before uploading. The delay is a result of the multi-tasking capabilities of FTP Voyager and the desire to make the "Upload Newer Files" operation as fast as possible for the majority of users.

Q: When I try to download a file, I get a message that says I'm already logged in.
A: Enable Connection Saver within the Options located in the Connection category.

Q: How can I do a silent install, where the installer doesn't present dialog boxes?
A: Download the software, then start it from "Start | Run", adding the following parameters after the file name: /silent or /verysilent For example: ftpvsetup.exe /silent or ftpvsetup.exe /verysilent
