Upload/Download Files
After you connect to a site, you can upload and download files. There are two ways to do this:
- Drag-and-drop files to and from Windows Explorer.
- Click Upload and Download buttons to transfer selected files between the file browsers of FTP Voyager.
Drag-and-Drop
- Connect to a remote site (click here for instructions).
- Open a Windows Explorer window (e.g., browse to C:\Temp).
- To download files, select some files in FTP Voyager and drag-and-drop them onto your Windows Explorer window.
- Wait for the download to complete. (Look for two green icons in the Transfer Queue Pane.)
- To upload files, select some files from Windows Explorer and drag-and-drop them onto the list of files in FTP Voyager.
- Wait for the upload to complete.
Upload and Download Buttons
- Connect to a remote site (click here for instructions).
- If necessary, open a Local Browser by selecting Browser | New Local Browser from the Ribbon.
- You should now see TWO windows side by side: the Local Browser on the left and the Remote Browser on the right.
- To download files, select some files in the Remote Browser (by default, the window on the RIGHT) and click the green button with the arrow pointing LEFT.
- Wait for the download to complete. (Look for two green icons in the Transfer Queue Pane.)
- To upload files, select some files in the Local Browser (by default, the window on the LEFT) and click the green button with the arrow pointing RIGHT.
- Wait for the upload to complete.
