Before you upgrade!

If you are upgrading from a previous version, do the following:

  • Make sure your server complies with the Patch Manager 2022.3 system requirements.

  • Back up any custom code, such as changed SolarWinds .css files or added .js files. These files may be overwritten with the upgrade. Learn more.

How to upgrade

If you are upgrading the Patch Manager application, use the Patch Manager Installer. See the Patch Manager Installation and Upgrade Guide for instructions. This guide includes detailed information to help you plan, complete, and troubleshoot your upgrade.

You must be on Patch Manager 2020.2 or later to upgrade to Patch Manager 2022.3. If you are on Patch Manager 2019.4 or earlier, first upgrade to 2020.2.6 and then upgrade to 2022.3.

If you are upgrading the Patch Manager Web Console on the SolarWinds Platform server to version 2022.3, use the SolarWinds Platform Installer. Using this installer, you can upgrade the Patch Manager Web Console and your SolarWinds Platform products in one session. See the SolarWinds Platform Products Installation and Upgrade Guide for instructions.

This version of Patch Manager deprecates the following platforms and features.

Deprecated platforms and features are still supported in the current release. However, they will be unsupported in a future release. Plan on upgrading deprecated platforms, and avoid using deprecated features.

Browser support All versions of Internet Explorer will become unsupported in a future release. Some pages are not compatible with IE 11. Do not enable Enterprise Mode in IE 11. It is not supported.
