These release notes describe the new features, improvements, and fixed issues in Patch Manager 2022.3. They also provide information about upgrades and describe workarounds for known issues.
New features and improvements in Patch Manager
Patch Manager 2022.3 offers improvements compared to previous releases of Patch Manager.
This release includes additional updates that improve the product stability and functionality.
Changes in system requirements
This release adds support for the following Microsoft software:

Fixed issues in Patch Manager 2022.3
Patch Manager 2022.3 fixes the following issues.
|Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager no longer generates an error when you click the 3rd Party Updates directory.|
|You can now view the properties for a scheduled task.|
|An error message no longer displays when you select an item in the navigation pane.|
|Update views no longer replicate when a view is created or removed.|
|Miscellaneous errors no longer display when performing tasks in the Patch Manager Administrator Console.|
|You can now view the Installed (Approved) and Needed (Approved) data for all WSUS clients in the Patch Manager Administrator Console.|

Before you upgrade!
If you are upgrading from a previous version, do the following:
Make sure your server complies with the Patch Manager 2022.3 system requirements.
Back up any custom code, such as changed SolarWinds .css files or added .js files. These files may be overwritten with the upgrade. Learn more.
How to upgrade
If you are upgrading the Patch Manager application, use the Patch Manager Installer. See the Patch Manager Installation and Upgrade Guide for instructions. This guide includes detailed information to help you plan, complete, and troubleshoot your upgrade.
You must be on Patch Manager 2020.2 or later to upgrade to Patch Manager 2022.3. If you are on Patch Manager 2019.4 or earlier, first upgrade to 2020.2.6 and then upgrade to 2022.3.
If you are upgrading the Patch Manager Web Console on the SolarWinds Platform server to version 2022.3, use the SolarWinds Platform Installer. Using this installer, you can upgrade the Patch Manager Web Console and your SolarWinds Platform products in one session. See the SolarWinds Platform Products Installation and Upgrade Guide for instructions.
This version of Patch Manager deprecates the following platforms and features.
Deprecated platforms and features are still supported in the current release. However, they will be unsupported in a future release. Plan on upgrading deprecated platforms, and avoid using deprecated features.
|Browser support||All versions of Internet Explorer will become unsupported in a future release. Some pages are not compatible with IE 11. Do not enable Enterprise Mode in IE 11. It is not supported.|
