New features and improvements in NTA 2022.3

NTA 2022.3 offers new features and improvements compared to previous releases of NTA.

2022.3 brings NTA over to the new SolarWinds Platform. In addition, NTA is now installed with the new SolarWinds Installer.

See also the SolarWinds Platform 2022.3 Release Notes.

Improved CBQoS support

NTA can now manage multiple QoS policies on a single interface. This was a limitation for hub-spoke setups, where multiple QoS policies are applied on the hub to meet different link bandwidths. NTA now handles QoS data for such setups correctly.

Automatic application classification of network flows

NTA now groups the applications sent by devices based on the vendor. If you select NBAR2 in the drop-down in the top-right corner of the Top XX Applications widget, NTA populates the chart with the top NBAR2 applications identified by name and application vendor icon. Hover over the icon of the application vendor to see the name of the vendor. The vendor information is also displayed in text format in the Flow Navigator filters.

Improved Cisco® Meraki® SD-WAN support

Expanded SD-WAN support with additional visibility into Meraki devices. For more information, see NPM 2022.3 release notes.

New customer installation

For information about installing NetFlow Traffic Analyzer, see the SolarWinds Installer.

How to upgrade

Use the SolarWinds Installer to upgrade your entire SolarWinds Platform deployment (all SolarWinds Platform products and any scalability engines) to the current versions.

If you are on a version earlier than NTA 2020.2.6, first upgrade to 2020.2.6 and then upgrade to 2022.3.

You can upgrade your entire SolarWinds Platform deployment from the My Deployment page. Downloading the SolarWinds Installer is no longer necessary.
